Timber Floors

We supply and install engineered and solid timber hardwood floors, walls and staircases. As a rule of thumb, we recommend using engineered floors, unless our clients are specifically looking for the solid timber option, expecting to sand back and re-polish the floors in the years to come.

Compared to solid hardwood, engineered flooring has many advantages.

  • Extra strong layered plywood that forms the base of all engineered flooring gives the boards more stability compared to solid timbre, preventing them from swelling in the moist environments and shrinking in the dry ones.
  • Clean-looking surfaces. Regardless of width, engineered floors can be glued and secret-nailed, creating clean-looking surfaces. However, solid hardwood floors that are more than 90mm wide must be top-nailed.
  • Versatile. Engineered flooring can be used over various types of sub-floor heating systems.
  • Beautiful. Engineered floors come in wider boards with a greater variety of colours.
  • Eco-friendly. Using plywood saves trees, making the engineered floors a more attractive option for many of our clients.

PLEASE NOTE: Since timber is a natural product, we cannot strictly control its variations. Colours and knots of the timber in the photos and samples may vary from the order received by the clients.
